As the Koroga Festival continues to set the bar for premier cultural and entertainment events in Kenya, organizers have taken security and transport to the next level ahead of the highly anticipated July edition. Under Farida Idris’ leadership, the festival is ensuring a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Here’s a look at the latest measures in place to make this year’s event even better.

For the 26th Edition of the Koroga Festival, fans will be turning up  in a brand-new location away from town; on a 10-acre site at  Tatu City, just 35 minutes from Nairobi’s CBD. All is set for  this event; happening on July 6th and 7th. Organizers have lined up transport options and security measures to make sure thousands of Koroga festival fans enjoy good music from top Kenyan and foreign artists, worry free.

Ms. Farida Idris Mohamed, Capital Limited Group Commercial Director confirms that the Koroga Festival has partnered with Kenya’s elite security forces for the event.  The Koroga Festival organizing committee has also partnered with a highly trained private security firm: On the Mark Security to complement services offered by the police. “I want to assure our fans that security will not only be right but also tight,” Ms. Idris said.

Located just off the Thika Super-Highway and at the junction of the Northern and Eastern Bypasses, Tatu City has multiple access points for Koroga fans. All entry points will be manned by security teams. On the Mark Security has received positive reviews from clients and government agencies, especially regarding their K9 unit, which specializes in substance detection ranging from explosives to drugs and for their specially trained Event Trained Security Officers (ETSO’s).

Saturday 6 July, Day 1 of the festival, will feature up-coming Kenyan artistes popular with the more youthful crowds (the young at heart are also welcome!). Day 2, Sunday 7 July, will be a family event with activities for all and a line-up featuring top artists from across the continent.

To ensure seamless movement in and out of Tatu City, The Koroga Festival has partnered with transport service companies: SWVL, Bolt (Taxify) and Citti Hoppa Next. SWVL will provide discounted rides at Kshs. 100 per ride using the discount code: KOROGA100 to and from the Koroga Festival on both July 6 and 7. SWVL will also provide 10 to 20 buses on both days with the central pick-up being the Nairobi CBD.

BOLT will offer a Sh500 discount on every Koroga trip under a discount code: KOROGA500. Citi Hoppa Next will provide buses on both days with the central pick-up being Kencom Bus Station with alternate routes from Thika Road Mall, Two Rivers Bypass, Kahawa West and Kiambu Road. The Koroga fans will pay Sh100 for each one-way trip when using Citi Hoppa Next.
